Services

A second opinion from people who still build.

Stack reviews, architecture sessions, fractional CTO support, and help hiring the people who will live with the result. Useful when the team is small but the decisions are not.

What this is

Advice from a team that ships.

We take on a handful of advisory engagements because the same judgement that makes our build work useful makes the advice useful — we recommend things we maintain ourselves. Sometimes that is a two-day review ending in a written verdict. Sometimes it is a standing half-day a week as the technical voice in the room while you hire a permanent one.

Typical engagements

  • Two-day review
  • Architecture session
  • Half-day a week
  • Hiring support

What you get

  • A written verdict

Not a slide deck. A document with findings, risks ranked by what they will actually cost you, and a recommended order of work.

  • Architecture sessions

Working a specific decision through with your team — build or buy, how to split a service, how to survive the next 10× — and writing down what was decided.

  • Fractional CTO support

A standing slot as the technical counterpart to your founders or board: roadmap sanity, vendor calls, and the awkward questions asked early.

  • Hiring help

Role scoping, technical screening, and take-home tasks that predict the job, so your first engineering hires are not a coin flip.

Fit

This is probably right if…

  • You are about to commit budget to a direction nobody in-house can pressure-test.
  • A vendor proposal needs reading by someone with no stake in it being accepted.
  • You are hiring your first engineers and cannot yet assess them.
  • Something is slow or fragile and the team is too close to it to see why.
